This is a fun feature to play on your phone, but why should you consider it a top web design trend for 2020? Well, Google Chrome and other web browsers have built-in dark mode, so websites can automatically switch to dark mode if the user has it turned on.
It only works if the website supports dark mode!
Because so many refuge sites have not yet been caught in the dark, Google Chrome has developed a “Night Eye” feature that will darken normal sites, whether they are optimized for it or not.
We recommend that you stay in front of the curve and think about the dark way when designing your site, instead of letting your site still look good in forced night mode. YouTube, for example, looks great in the dark, which means it still offers a great user experience:

The best trend for visual design: 3D graphics
When we spoke with creative digital designer Ella Johnson, she gave us an insight into how 3D design is growing:
“The 3D rendered design is popular for enhancing the after effects, which makes things look really smooth and satisfying. There was a lot of absorption in using Cinema 4D to add 3D after effects and I think this will only increase in popularity. ”
This makes sense, especially with the rise of virtual reality – it seems that people are increasingly looking for more immersive online experiences.
The move to 3D graphics suggests a smooth, elegant and modern atmosphere, although it will be interesting to see how designers play with this through illustrations and typography, for example.

The best design trend for mobile: minimal design
Minimalism has been a popular choice for mobile design for several years. However, it is a reliable and long-lasting trend, which has proved its worth more, and seems to remain strong until 2020.
The idea we want to emphasize here, however, is that minimalist design does not have to mean boring design. You can still use bold, bright colors, overlapping sections and heavy fonts – whatever suits your brand.
Minimalism means reducing any unnecessary excess to create an easy and clear user experience. Use white space and focus on shape and function so as not to overwhelm your visitors.
